"Ashokan Farewell"---My Son AJ's Viola 추모연주(2018.1.27)

by 바람거사 2024. 12. 27.

There was a funerel service of my son, AJ 's father in law, Douglas Ingram 74 in Trussville(near Birmingham), Alabama on January 27, 2018. He got a terrible head hitting accident while coming home from his law office by a scooter in Decmber 29, 2017.

My son AJ played viola for "Ashokan Farewell" by American folk musician Jay Ungar in 1982, which was adopted for the title theme to "The Civil War" in 1990 PBS Televison mini series. The music was so beautiful and touching. Everybody was so impressed and wanted to play this music when one's funeral service.

[AJ has played the violin since 6 years old and played the viola this time. But, his playing was stopped before he finished by mistake. ]
